Eco-friendly building materials
Ecological materials are designed so that they have a minimal harmful impact on the environment. The following materials are classified here: recycled plastic, bamboo, cork, plant-based hard polyurethane foam and hemp concrete. Bamboo and cork are the most environmentally friendly building materials. Bamboo is particularly suitable for floors, it is extremely durable and has a high strength-to-weight ratio. Cork is also considered durable and flexible, so it is often used in floor tiles. It regenerates at an incredible rate, like bamboo, and can be taken from a tree that is still growing.
The goal of using ecological building materials is to stop the waste of natural resources, to ensure sustainable construction, high quality and durability of built objects. In this way, the negative impact on the environment, the emission of harmful gases is reduced and healthier living spaces are provided.
